Group Acupuncture
Group acupuncture, as the name implies, occurs in a large room with other clients. Clients are expected to lie quietly in zero-gravity or regular chairs (depending on comfort needs) during their treatments. Clients will be speaking with Dr. Ann about their health condition and this can be overheard by others. Clients are asked to respect each others' privacy and not talk to or give advise to others about information overheard.
Dr. Ann MUST approve each client's participation in group acupuncture prior to attending as not all conditions are best treated in this manner. Because of the lack of visual privacy, conditions are treated only using the extremities that can be accessed without disrobing and the head. No needles will be placed anywhere on the trunk or back in this setting.
All new clients MUST go through the same admission process, whether continuing acupuncture will be in private rooms or in the group setting.
Tuesdays are group treatment days. Receiving group treatments is optional. If you do not feel comfortable in a group setting, you may continue receiving treatments in a private room on Mondays or Wednesdays.
Please contact Dr. Ann if you have any questions about receiving this style of treatment.
